Fourth of July

Today was very much like all the other days - except there was cake at the end. We went to the Baby House this morning and did our Cam routine. Brent fed him his breakfast - which we both do entirely too slowly for Kazakh baby house standards. However, most of the food makes it into his mouth and we have less regurgitation later. Cam ate a whole bowl of something containing rice - we're talking like 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups of food. More than we had for breakfast, that's for sure! We played on the floor for a bit and then when we couldn't stand the temperature inside, we went out and walked around the grounds a bit. It was much cooler out there. We saw his doctor this morning and she told us, through the interpreter, that Cameron seems much more at peace since we've been coming. What a difference 5 days makes, huh?

We went to lunch with our travel partners at Mario Pizza which was pretty good. Kathy was surprised to find bananas, orange slices and pineapple on her pizza, but she said it was pretty good. Brent and I split a pizza with onions on it. Then we headed over to Tom and Kathy's apt. to help them get their internet setup.

This afternoon went well too. Spent some more time on the floor and also outside. He's very interested in standing up and using his legs, though he can't do it on his own just yet. At the end of the day, Lori, another American from the Bronx brought a cake that all of the non-Kaz folks shared outside (we invited the Kaz folks, they declined). Tonight we're meeting the American crew for dinner around 6:30. It will be nice to get out for the evening.

Happy 4th everyone!

Happy Fourth to YOU!

It rained buckets all night long and doesn't look like it plans on clearing up today. If it does, I'll have to make sure and take plastic to put under the blanket for the COSO concert at Phillips Glen tonight. And umbrellas.

Your pictures of Cam are adorable; I'm so happy for you three -almost said two, but that's not right anymore :) FRances

We hope you've had a wonderful dinner with the American crew: what is that very small patch of hairlike looking material under Cam in today's pic? hmmmm Just talked to Marco and he had just fininshed with today's blog report. He gets this great big smile on his face when he reads your reports. Love, Dad

Just so you know, Kev's been printing these entries for his parents. They pore over them with great intensity - reading and re-reading every word and examining every detail of the pictures. They are really following this closely, eager for news.

I offered to convey any comments or questions they had, and Suzanne said, "I just want them to know we love them and we're thinking about them. Tell them we wish them well!"
