Social Worker Day

Sorry for the late post. The internet cafe was closed earlier. We've got a time crunch right now (it's closing soon), so this may be a quick one.

We were interviewed by two social workers and an attorney from the Ministry of Ed. this afternoon. They asked us 8-10 questions which we had been prepped for and the whole thing lasted maybe 10 minutes. Another hurdle overcome.

Bad news on the power supply - they can't fix it (which we sort of suspected). We have one more option before resorting to getting one shipped from the States.

Cam was a happy kid today. The doctor told us that they are no longer giving him antibiotics or the cold medicine we bought last week b/c they think he's on the mend. Turns out the antibiotics were injections that he was getting twice a day in the rump. That could explain his disinterest in wanting to practice sitting up on his own. Poor little guy. He does seem a lot better health-wise all the way around - a lot less congestion and the diaper rash is practically gone. We did some laps outside and played on the floor inside. Still working on the crawling thing, but he is scooching himself from one place to another.

Supposedly only 2 weeks 'til court. We're keeping our fingers (and toes) crossed.

Chewing on the bear. That's what happens when you're working on your top teeth. We can see that at least one is poking its way through.

I haven't left a comment lately so I guess I'd better do that. Cam looks so beautiful and alert and fun! It is certainly a wonderful thing you are involved in...one of those incredible life-changing events. It changed all of our lives in the family, but will eventually change those of hundreds of other people too. You are loved and certainly Cam is loved even without seeing him in the flesh.

at least the diaper rash will pretty much disappear when you start using the wasteful american "huggies"!! won't have to worry about that anymore ... kids don't even know they are wet ... but they do still stink, buffy ...
