We arrived this morning and found Cam in his pink top and blue-green baby house leiderhosen. The footed pants (a la leiderhosen) have strings attached to them that tie in the back. Most of the babies sit on potties in the communal playpen after they eat and the caregivers use the strings from the leiderhosen to tie them in place on the pot. Since we've been there, Cam is wearing diapers, so we believe that he is now a diaper baby - though he is dressed in the baby house outfit each morning when we arrive, so who knows? It rained last night and was raining this morning, so we were confined to the sitting room adjacent to Cam's room. The temperature dropped though and that was a welcome relief. He still appeared to be having fun and spent a lot of time on his tummy and all fours. We read a couple of books and we also fed him his lunch this afternoon.

At lunch today we found a cool kid's book with the Russian alphabet and each letter is associated with a Russian fairy tale somehow. Now, we just need to figure out what it all means.

Just before we left, he proved that he's definitely a boy baby. Daddy was changing his diaper and was giving him zerberts on his belly when Cam decided it was time to tinkle. There was pee on the changing table, his onesie and his socks, yet somehow he missed Daddy. Even so, Dad was beside himself. Lesson learned.

Just having my coffee and checking the DeWitt blog...our current morning routine. Cameron looks happier in every pic! It's chilly and rainy here today. Do you have an address where you can receive mail?
It is part of the new morning routine, isn't it? But if Brent's not more careful he's going to make me squirt coffee out my nose! Welcome to the World of Boys, Mr. & Mrs. DeWitt :) And, by the way, their aim doesn't get a whole lot better even after they're potty-trained. Which is why they invented Clorox Flushables, I guess.
Went to the symphony and fireworks last night, it didn't rain after all. We all had a good time and Jen's little Alex (2 yrs old now) even enjoyed the fireworks after the first shock from the noise wore off. Then he was in hysterics, laughing at the Miles' dance show. What a ham. Have a great day - xo for Cam....okay, one for you guys, too Frances
He is so cute! I finally got a minute to read through everything. I can't wait for you to bring him into work! It sounds like you guys are having a great time. See you soon. By the way the picture of the light fixture was really cool.

Enjoy getting the daily upadate. What a great family. Can't wait for you all to get home. Looks like you all are having a super time. Keep it up. And well, parenthood is all about lessons learned; sounds like Brent learned this one the easy way. Take care- Miss You! Lots of Love- Jim, Laure, Olivia, and Landon
