We arrived at the baby house to screams coming from the crib room. We looked at each other and said, "Boy, somebody is not happy." Sure enough, it was our kid!! Cam was in his crib wailing. He calmed down as soon as we picked him up. We gave him a family hug and then Brent started to walk away - and Cam wasn't having any of that!!! He wanted Daddy right by his side. We put him down to change him and his diaper rash was monumental. Everything down there was kind of red and raw and Daddy winced just looking at it. Apparently, they had put some kind of medicine on him that's reddish and they said that's why it looked as bad as it did. We cleaned him up and sure enough some of the redness went away. We tried an antifungal on the rash today (having done some research overnight with the help of Buffy's mom and our pediatrician in Westlake) and he went "Commando" for part of the morning so things could air out. As you can imagine, he was pretty uncomfortable and spent most of the morning being pretty fussy. Can't blame him, he looked miserable. He also spent his mid-day nap "au natural" and we think that helped too. When we changed him after his 2 o'clock meal, he looked a lot better and on the mend. We'll give that anti-fungal cream another shot tomorrow too.
In the afternoon, he was back to his usual demeanor and had fun bouncing and really was mesmerized by the iPod and mini-speakers (who can blame him?) - Thanks again, Uncle Dick and Aunt Sue! He seems drawn to technology - he really likes the digital camera and now the iPod, maybe he'll got a hotshot job at Apple when he grows up? (That's Brent's dream anyway!)
And, it would appear that his hair is getting a bit darker. Maybe the vitamins we're dropping in his bottle every morning? Or maybe it's just him.
We never did see the social worker (they never called to tell us to come). Maybe Monday? It's not like we've got plans or anywhere to be, so it's not a big deal to us when it happens, so long as it does.
More pics from today, if we can get them up.

Playing while "Commando". This was either just before or after he wet the floor.

Greetings from Traverse City MI. It was 96 degrees here today. It's hard to believe, so hearing about your wearing a sweatshirt sounds wonderful. We are glad to hear that Brent is getting well. The idea of short sleeves causing a sinus infection is certainly a novel idea! We love reading your journal. Take care. Our love to all of you. Kathy and Dick
