Looks like the posts will be later in the day now that we're home entertaining Cam. Today went pretty well for 2 adults and 1 kid that don't have an established routine yet.
Cam got us up at 4:30 this morning for a diaper change and then slept until 7. He ate well, but doesn't care for the beverage offering here, unless it's formula. The baby house makes a "compote" from dried fruits which they boil (we don't have the recipe) in water and then add sugar. Could be our little guy has a sweet tooth already - see, he is like his daddy!! We tried water and watered down juice, to no avail. We're going to try a higher concentration of juice tomorrow - and add sugar if we have to!!
We went to the baby house and had the thank you party. In our room it consisted of us, 2 care-givers and Nastia. We gave out our gift bags to all individuals involved and also brought a bunch of items we purchased as donations for the baby house. And, we met the director of the baby house (now that all is said and done). She did thank us for the gifts and seemed genuinely pleased.
Back at the apartment, at lunch we drank the celebratory Diet Pepsi we've been hoarding since the NorthWest flight to Amsterdam. As we've said before the Kaz "Pepsi Light" just isn't the same. Two things we learned about Cameron today: he always gets the hiccups when he giggles and he likes to pound his shadow.

Just getting caught up on the blog and am so excited to hear that it's official. I am so happy for your family and looking forward to meeting Cameron. He's so close in age to Jack that I see some playdates in the future. Your family is blessed.
Love, Barb Sergent & Family
Yowza! What great news. Just got back from Seattle so have been playing catch-up on the blog. (And very deliberately going in order) So, yippee! Welcome to parent-land. Your life will never be the same and I am so happy for you! Love, Frances, Miles, Seamus & Pete
